Eclectic with a capital “E”!

After deciding that their 10-acre pre-Civil War home in Hanover, Pennsylvania had become too much to handle, the Owners headed to the beach in 2014, choosing a lot with trees and a pond that reminded them of home. Thus began the process of personalizing the blank canvas of their new four bedroom, three bathroom home with their rich collection of antiques and memorabilia.

As self-described “thrifters” they have filled every room from the entry to the exit with beloved mementos from their first home that reflect their eclectic history, interests and travels, transforming their builder grade home into a uniquely personal showcase. A fish-themed upper level bunk room has fulfilled the couple’s goal to provide a fun spot where their eight grandchildren from different parts of the country can gather annually to make family memories, growing from cousins into lifelong friends.

This is just one of the outstanding properties that will be viewed by those who purchase tickets for the 32nd Beach & Bay Cottage Tour. This week’s home is one of the 6 homes on the 32nd Tour that will be available for in-person tours by holders of Combo tickets. And, like all 10 homes on the 2024 tour, this home will also be available to be seen virtually by holders of both Combo and Virtual tickets. Each of the 10 homes will feature a professionally produced video which will offer Tour patrons with an opportunity to view each home as often as they want from anywhere during the three-week virtual tour period. Special features include bird’s-eye drone video footage and the ability to view the Tour on any internet-enabled device.

Combo tickets are $50 and Virtual-only tickets are $35. Combo tickets are strictly limited to 1,000 tickets and may be used either day of the tour, with a single entry permitted to each home.
