  • Who benefits from the Tour?
    The South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach is the beneficiary of 100% of the net proceeds of the Beach and Bay Cottage Tour.
  • What are the Tour Dates?
    In-Person: Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, July 27 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Virtual is from July 16 through August 6
  • How many homes are on the Tour?
    There are 10 homes on this year’s Tour. You can experience this year’s Tour in two ways. With the purchase of a VIRTUAL Ticket, you get to view all 10 homes from the comfort of your own home. With the purchase of a COMBO Ticket, you not only get to see all 10 homes virtually, but you also get to visit five of the 10 homes In Person. (The five In-Person homes have been preselected by the Tour Committee/Homeowners.) Get tickets here.
  • What homes are in-person?
    Homes #1 through #5 are in-person. They are: The McWilliam & Simpson House The Lindsey & Loftus House The Dunn House The McInnis & Seleznow House The Blair House
  • Where do I get my ticket for the In-Person homes?
    You must come to the Library at 43 Kent Avenue, Bethany Beach, DE 19930. Check in dates and times: Saturday, July 22 10:00am - 3:00-pm Monday, July 24 10:00am - 5:00pm Tuesday, July 25 10:00am - 5:00pm Wednesday July 26 9:00am - 5:00pm Thursday, July 27 9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Can I use the barcode on my receipt as my ticket?
    No, the barcode might be used in the future, but the non-profit organization has not had the funds to purchase bar code readers. You must bring your printed ticket to the Library to receive your booklet, which is your official ticket to obtain entrance to the in-person homes.
  • Are service animals allowed on the in-person tour?
    Although we very much appreciate the value of service animals, we have promised the home owners that no animals will enter their homes. These are private homes and not public buildings. We have to be mindful of the health of the home owners who may have allergies and don't normally permit animals in their homes. We ask that you have someone stay with your service animal outside the home while you tour the inside.

  • What kind of Tickets are available?
    There are two types of Tickets – a VIRTUAL ONLY Ticket and a COMBO Ticket. Get tickets here.
  • What is a VIRTUAL Ticket?
    Your VIRTUAL Ticket entitles you to view the Tour from anywhere at any time during those three weeks on any electronic device - computer, tablet or phone. Ten unique homes are featured - visit them Virtually as many times as you like during the Tour dates. The price of a VIRTUAL Ticket is $35.00 and gives you VIRTUAL access to all 10 of the home videos from July 16 to August 6. You will purchase your Ticket ONLINE only here. A Virtual Ticket does not give you access to any of the In-Person homes.
  • What is a COMBO Ticket?
    Your $50.00 COMBO Ticket entitles you to view all 10 homes VIRTUALLY for the 3 weeks of the Tour and visit 5 preselected homes IN-PERSONfor one day either on Wednesday, July 26 OR Thursday, July 27. COMBO Tickets are limited to 500 ONLY for Wednesday, July 26, and 500 ONLY for Thursday, July 27. You will purchase your ticket ONLINE only here.
  • How do I buy my Ticket?
    VIRTUAL Cottage Tour Tickets are $35.00 and are available for purchase ONLINE ONLY at any time through August 6 at 6:00 PM. COMBO Cottage Tour Tickets are $50.00 and are available for purchase ONLINE ONLY at any time through July 27 at 2:00 PM. You can purchase either ticket option by visiting the "Get Tickets" page of this website. When you purchase a Ticket, either VIRTUAL or COMBO, you must supply a unique email. Your Virtual Tour password will be provided via email on July 15th, 2023 for access beginning July 16th until 11:59 PM Saturday, August 6. The Tour videos will be available starting Sunday, July 16, the first day of the Virtual Tour.
  • How do I buy Additional Tickets?
    You may purchase more than one Ticket although you must purchase each ticket individually. The cost of a VIRTUAL Tour Ticket is $35.00 and a COMBO Tour Ticket is $50.00. When you purchase additional Tickets, you must have a unique email address other than your own (e.g., your friend’s email address) for each additional ticket purchased. You will receive a confirmation email for your ticket purchase. Your Virtual Tour password will be provided via email on July 15th, 2023 for access beginning July 16th. (Check your inbox, spam and junk mail). If you purchased a ticket using someone else’s email, the confirmation will be sent to that email address.
  • Where do I get my in-person tickets?
    You must come to the Library at 43 Kent Avenue, Bethany Beach, DE 19930. Check in dates and times: Saturday, July 22 10:00am - 3:00-pm Monday, July 24 10:00am - 5:00pm Tuesday, July 25 10:00am - 5:00pm Wednesday July 26 9:00am - 5:00pm Thursday, July 27 9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Where do I get my Tote Bag and Tour Book?
    For COMBO Ticket holders, your Tote Bag and Tour Book will be available at the library the following days and times: Saturday, July 22 from 10am to 3pm Monday and Tuesday, July 24 and 25 from 10am to 5pm Wednesday, July 26 from 9am to 5pm Thursday, July 27 from 9am to 3pm.
  • What if I don’t use my Ticket – can I get a refund?
    No - All Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Can I use my COMBO Ticket on either Wednesday or Thursday?
    No – you must use your Wednesday Ticket on Wednesday and your Thursday Ticket on Thursday.
  • Can I change my COMBO Ticket for a different day?
    Maybe - if tickets are still available for the day you want to change to, you must come to the Cottage Tour Ticket Pick Up room at the South Coastal Library to make the change. However, once you have begun using your Wednesday Ticket, you may not exchange it for a Thursday Ticket.
  • Can I buy a Tour Ticket, a Raffle Ticket or make a Donation at the library?
    You can make donations at the library by cash or check. You can also use a library computer (if you have a library card) to make a Tour Ticket purchase, a Raffle Ticket purchase or a Donation with a credit card. Tour Tickets and Raffle Tickets can only be purchased by credit cards.
  • I want to go to the Cocktail Party – what do I do?
    By making a Donation of $150.00 or more, you will receive an invitation to the Cocktail Party. The Cocktail Party is Friday, July 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
  • How do I make a Donation?
    You can make a DONATION on our website, beachandbaycottagetour.com by clicking on the DONATE button or send a check payable to FOSCL at: PO Box 753 Bethany Beach, DE 19930 Donations of $150.00 or more will entitle the Donor to receive an invitation to the Cocktail Party and a 31st Anniversary Tote Bag. The Cocktail Party is Friday, July 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Making a donation is appreciated but does not entitle you to a Tour Ticket.
  • Can I send a Donation through the mail?
    Yes! Donations may be made online or by sending a check payable to FOSCL at: PO Box 753 Bethany Beach, DE 19930
  • How do I buy a Raffle Ticket?
    You can purchase RAFFLE tickets for artwork and restaurants ONLINE ONLY by going to our website, beachandbaycottagetour.com, and clicking on the RAFFLE button.
  • How does the Raffle work?
    You can purchase an unlimited number of Raffle Tickets. For the Artist Raffle you will purchase Raffle Tickets for each artist individually. For the Restaurant Raffle you will purchase a general Raffle Ticket – this applies to all restaurants. There will be one gift card for each restaurant and one winner for each artist. It’s easy – click on the Raffle item that you are interested in and add it to your cart. You can purchase one or more Raffle Tickets for any Raffle item, and you can also purchase multiple Raffle items all at one time. ​
  • When are the Raffle winners selected and how will they be notified?
    The drawings for the $100 Restaurant Gift Card Raffle and Artwork Raffle winners will happen on August 7, 2023. There will be one Gift Card winner for each Restaurant Raffle, and one artwork winner for each artist. Winners will be notified on August 8, 2023.
